Northern Area Rover Crew

52 Stanley St, Summerhill, Launceston, 7250

NARC (the Northern Area Rover Crew) is a Launceston based Crew and we run weekly activities, meeting on Monday nights usually between 7 and 9pm. We have many weekends away, and these can include participating in state Rover and Scouting events, camping, hiking, rafting and generally enjoying the freedoms of creating our own program and the great Tasmanian outdoors!

Our Crew has a very active program and we enjoy getting out and doing different activities. Some activities we do from week-to-week include; trivia; laser tag; rafting; climbing and abseiling; team building skills and challenges; workshops that include guest speakers; pizza and pub nights; and movie nights, the list is endless.

As caretakers of the Carr Villa Hut ( the initial skiing hut located in the Ben Lomond National Park) many of our weekend trips are based here as it's an ideal base for walking, skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and exploring.

Carr Villa is able to be hired out to Scouting, school and community groups. To find out more about Carr Villa or make a reservation visit the Services & Activities drop down menu.

NARC welcomes all new faces for people age 18-26 who want to meet some new people, have fun, and provide service to Scouting and the wider community. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please email us at narcrovers@gmail.com

We also have a Facebook page which we use to communicate with.
