Leven District Rover Crew
51 King Edward Street, Ulverstone
The Leven District Rover Crew was founded in 1972, and since then has had a made strong mark not only in the Leven District, but the North Western area of Tassie. We are based in Ulverstone, and are currently the only Rover Crew in the North West of the state. Our members travel from as far as Latrobe and Wynyard to participate in activities. We like many crews in the state aren’t attached to a single scout group, but a district, so our members have a range of backgrounds and experiences. Despite this being the case we always welcome new members from outside the scouting movement with open arms. We take pride in offering a service to our, and neighbouring districts by participating in meeting nights and events with the venturer Units in the area.
Having a rich history as a Rover Crew, we have built up our resources and equipment over many years, including having our own den, which is set back from the road, on a nice sized piece of land. This allows us to be an independent entity within the area, and also able to host events, both statewide, and local with other sections. Being a part of the Leven District, we also have access to the District Scout Hall in Ulverstone when more space is required, and also Paton Park at North Motton.
We also utilize campsites at Blythe Park, Cantara at Smithton and Fulton Park. When left to our own devices we can often be found: Bushwalking Camping Road Trips Rafting For anybody wishing to come along to check us out, we meet on a Monday nights from 7pm at the den, located at 51 King Edward St, Ulverstone (corner of King Edward & Grove Streets).
Looking forward to seeing you!
